This inter-store league is designed for non-competitive players looking to build armies, unleash epic narratives, and dive deep into the hobby side of Warhammer 40K. Your armies will grow, clash, and create unique stories across the grim darkness of the far future!

Event Details

  • Campaign Start Date: Wednesday, October 15th, 2025

  • Cost: $15 Buy-in (Covers all prizes and league support throughout the campaign)

  • League Focus: Non-competitive, narrative-driven play using the official Crusade Rules.

Where to Play

  • Official League Night: Every Wednesday at Grognard Games Algonquin is the designated play night.

  • Inter-Store Play: Games may be played at any of our three Grognard Games locations (Roselle, Batavia, or Algonquin) anytime you can schedule with an opponent.

Building Your Crusade Force

Use the official Crusade rules in your Armys Codex and the core Crusade Rules PDF to create your armies! The weekly mission pack is provided via Google Drive.

How to Earn Points & Rewards

Category Points / Rewards Details
Battle Points Win: 2 points, Tie: 1 point (both players), Game Played: 1 point Used for league standing and bragging rights!
Hobby Points Building a Unit: 1 Grognard Point (max 3/week) Show off your artistry in our dedicated Discord channel!
Painting a Unit: 1 Grognard Point (max 2/week) All points are via the honor system and added to your unit sheets.
Experience Bonus +3 XP Earned by any unit that is fully painted during the battle.
Store Purchase Bonus +5 XP (one-time) Earned by any unit purchased at Grognard Games within the month prior to the start of the league or anytime during the league (message Josh CGN to confirm!).
Sportsmanship Recognition Every other week, submit the name of one player who exemplifies sportsmanship!

  • Game Reporting: All game results, including purchases for XP bonuses, must be sent via direct message on Discord to Josh CGN for tallying.
